Parent/Guardian
Child Protection : All of our coaches at The Glen Johnson Soccer School have been CRB (criminal record bureau) checked and have obtained a minimum of the Level 1 Coaching Certificate but more importantly have been hand picked by Glen Johnson as he feels they have what It takes to teach children the in's and out's of the game. Our Head Coaches Matt Longhurst and Joe Horlock have attended FA child protection courses and along with their qualifications, they will hold copies of the CRB check with them at all times when working with the children, please feel free to ask them any questions about this at an appropriate time, thank you.
Parent/Guardian Guidelines : We are aware at The Glen Johnson Soccer Schools of the importance of supportive parents and guardians in children's sport, but we must make the coaching sessions as fun and as imformative as possible, therefore we ask that parents and or guardians reframe from coaching the children from the sideline although encouragement is welcome, and also do not offer drink breaks during sessions as the coaches will allow specific times for this, this is so the children get the most out of The Glen Johnson Soccer School, if there are any queries about the session held by the coach by all means see the senior coach after the session away from the children, as no child including your own will be discussed while the child or children are present, a third party may also be required depending on the nature of the query and they will be non partial to comment just for legal reasons.
